The program, proudly organized by 3Lateral and Epic Games, in partnership with Take One and Dexsoft Games offers training in the latest Unreal Engine and MetaHuman Animator tools, essential for creating and supervising visual effects. It covers principles of linear storytelling in animation and film production, encompassing traditional animation disciplines such as digital storytelling, modeling, layout, lighting, rendering, and VFX.

Fellows have produced their short films during the program to explore their unique visual styles while mastering advanced storytelling tools.

The second iteration featured the instructors from film, media, and gaming including Milan Ličina, Darko Subotin, and Nikola Šoškić, with specialized sessions delivered by Pavle Dinulović, Miloš Pavlović, Ivan Šijak, and Ljiljana Antonović. Alumni fellows including Nikola Silić, Ivana Lazarević, Petar Jovović, and Nemanja Pavlović offered valuable support and advice to participants.

The fellowship was wrapped up at the final 2023 Epic Games Community Summit where participants premiered their cinematics, receiving applause for their powerful and stylistically diverse short films, including Andrić's "It Will Rain," co-created with Olga Janković.

Nikola emphasized the value of fellowship in providing tools and experience for his future work in film and animation.

Additionally, program participants and organizers shared their impressions in a Behind the Scenes video.

This was the second iteration of the program, following the first session in May and June of the previous year, attended by Jovan Dudić, Technical Director at ILBES. You can find more information in this news and his interview.

Congratulations to Nikola Andrić on successfully completing the program. We also extend our gratitude to the Epic Games Novi Sad team for another exceptional learning opportunity.

The next iteration is scheduled for March 2024, with applications now open.
